Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, Printster.in has no minimum order quantity, so you can print one copy of your comic book for personal use, a convention, or a proof. This makes it accessible for independent artists and small publishers.
Thin comic issues (up to around 48–64 pages) are typically saddle-stitched (staple-bound), mirroring the classic single-issue comic format. Collected editions or graphic novels with higher page counts use perfect binding (square-spine paperback) or hardback case binding.
130 GSM gloss art paper is popular for full-colour comic interiors as it produces vivid, sharp colours. For a more traditional newsprint feel, 90 GSM uncoated maplitho can be used. Covers are best printed on 250–300 GSM art card with gloss or matte lamination.
The US standard comic size is approximately 170 × 260 mm, but many independent creators in India opt for A5 (148 × 210 mm) or a custom size. Square formats are also popular for manga-style or art books. Check the configurator for available size options.
Prepare your print-ready PDF in CMYK colour mode at 300 DPI minimum for colour pages, or greyscale at 600 DPI for black-and-white line art. RGB files may shift in colour when converted to CMYK during printing, so converting beforehand gives you more control.
