Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, there is no minimum order quantity for colouring books, so you can order one copy for personal use, gifting, or a proof before a larger print run.
For colouring books meant to be used with pencils or light markers, 90 GSM to 100 GSM uncoated maplitho paper works well as it accepts colour without heavy bleed-through. Avoid glossy coated paper for pages that will be coloured in.
Colouring books can be bound with perfect binding (square spine) for thicker volumes, saddle-stitch/centre-staple for thinner books under 64 pages, or wire-o/spiral binding (where available) so pages lie flat for easy colouring.
Upload a print-ready PDF with interior artwork at 300 DPI minimum, in black-and-white or greyscale. Line art should ideally be 600 DPI or higher for crisp outlines. Embed all fonts and include 3 mm bleed on all sides.
Popular sizes include A4 (210 × 297 mm), A5 (148 × 210 mm), and square formats (e.g. 210 × 210 mm). A4 is the most common for colouring books as it gives ample space for detailed illustrations.
